The event was excellently organised by Jenny Hand, ably supported by our directors Dave Pollard, John Arnold and George Brown..

2009 A.G.M. REPORT & Pictures

41 members attended the 63rd AGM of the Club on Tuesday 7 April 2009.
A mixed year of league results was reported - the fixtures are not completed as yet - but the 'A' Team will be relegated, the 'B' Team will finish in the top 4 in Division 3 , but the 'C' team will also be relegated.
The proposed EBU membership strategy was summarised by the chairman and some benefits highlighted of reduced insurance costs and a new improved scoring system in Scorebridge. In general members felt that to maintain the club's status and continue to run League teams it would need to go along with the EBU's new system rather than withdraw from EBU membership. The P2P contract from the EBU would be received very soon and a copy will be placed on the website and made available at the club for members to be able to study and pass comments to the Committee before deciding on its acceptance. The Treasurer would be recommending that the P2P costs (29p to EBU and 8p to LCBA) would be absorbed by the club reserve at least for the first year.
Successful results by club members included the winning of the Olga Cup (Ladies Pairs) by Beryl Cooklin & Jenny Grant.
Trophies and prizes were presented for the Club Cup & Toon Cup competitions - photos below.
The Club subscriptions to remain at £6 and table money to remain at £1.50, with £2.00 for visitors.
The were no changes in the club officers for the coming year.
